This weekend we went to Festival of Colors at the Holi Krishna Temple. It was so much fun. We went with Anthony's brother, Chris, and his wife, Ashley. We tried to go last year, but we were late by like 2 hours! This year we were only late by 30 minutes, and next year we hope to be 30 minutes early! We missed the actual ceremony, but still got covered in the paint. The people see that you are clean and can't wait to mess you up!

Winter Happenings

Well,this blog thing is working out about as much as the journal thing! But it's ok. Anthony and I have been doing a lot of stuff this winter and I am sad to see it leave, but so excited for summer. Spring is just a plain ol' tease. Anthony and I have done a lot more during this winter than we did last summer. Partly due to the fact that Anthony worked like 80 hours a week last summer and I never saw him!

But so far this is what we have been doing:

We went snowboarding at Sundance last week and it was way fun. So warm that we could wear a sweater. Piece of cake!

We went to Zion's and it was so fun. We hiked Angel's Landing, but it was too icy to get past the part where you have to hang on the chains. But it was still way fun. We went with Griff, Nate, & Natalie. I definitely need to get into better shape before attempting it again! UGH.... Somebody be my workout partner. For Real... Please?



We go snowshoe-ing a lot too. It is really fun when there is full moon and the moon can light your path for you. We don't even take headlamps... Just 'follow the light.'

We have so many traditions from our first 2 years of dating that have just carried over. Such as:

We go to Burger's Supreme every November 20 for our "dating anniversary." Even though I hate greasy burgers...BLECH.. But he said he was testing me to see if I was a picky girl. (Little did he know I was just a good dater... The pickiness doesn't come out until after marriage haha.) And since I love the twilight books, it has become part of our anniversary since the last 2 have come out on the dating anniversary day. Good thing the next one is coming out this summer. I wonder what will take it's place on our November anniversary.

We make Gingerbread houses on December 7th. We made our first one when dating and it lasted almost 4 months! Anything can last in a guy's apartment if they don't clean! Which they don't.

We also watched the entire Lost t.v. show and still continue it. I just do it for Anthony though. I skipped season 4 and I am so lost! (ironically.) But he watches Brother's & Sister for me so we are equal.

Off the tradition subject I am now turning into movie critic mode:

I hated the new Alice in Wonderland. I felt that Johnny Depp sucked! It was like he couldn't decide between Willy Wonka and Jack Sparro. It was extremely annoying and it was very boring. Maybe it was because I was told it was going to resemble Lewis Caroll's short story Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking glass. I read it in my British Literature class and I loved it so much so I was a little disappointed because it wasn't like it at all. I guess that one should be blamed on my friend. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!) I guess I have to say at least one good thing about it: The colors were awesome and the 3D was worth it. I am just glad I saw a matinee so I didn't waste as much money on it.

Can somebody tell me their opinions on Where the Wild Things Are? I want to see it, but everyone says it's a disappointment! Let me know! So I can at least go into it with the right mindset.

First Blog EVERRR

Well, Anthony and I have been terrible at writing in our journals since we got married and I thought that if it were on the computer then it would make it a lot easier since we are ALWAYs doing homework on the computer... Though I doubt Anthony will do any blogging. I don't think he "gets" it. :)

So some stuff about us!

We got married on May 1, 2009! It has almost been a year. I cannot believe it. It was the most beautiful day ever I can't imagine it going any better. Nothing went wrong, that I know of, I could have just been in matrimonial bliss all day. We got married in the Salt Lake City Temple and I just have to say it is the most amazing building I have ever seen, but of course it is!

The weather was perfect that day and the flowers around the temple grounds were AMAZING. My favorite pictures are of the flowers... Sadly, I don't like our wedding pictures as much as i would have liked... After the sealing, we had pictures and a luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building with the tips of the temple right through the window.

AFter that we had to rush home and get our suitcases and rush to the reception center where we were doing a ring ceremony for those who weren't able to attend the sealing. We did it at The Sun River Gardens Nursery. It was so pretty and exactly what I wanted.. Flowers everywhere!

The ring ceremony went great. We walked down the isle to Brad Paisly's "I Thought I Loved You Then." It was so cute! I felt like the reception lasted forever! But I am so grateful for everyone that came! Our wedding party consisted of: Megan Beckham, Cami Harvey, Brittany TEmpleman, Nicole Ferron (Miller NOW) Heather HEaton, Dave Tomlinson, Chris Brown (anthony's brother), Nate Falslev (no idea if I spelled that right), Jeff Ricks, and Braxton (My brother). I always wanted a big wedding party... All the more fun!
We went on our honeymoon to the Bahamas! It was so much fun. I love the sun and the water. I am a little fish. Anthony wasn't too thrilled about swimming with the fishies but I chased them! We went to Atlantis which was amazing. They had water slides that that went through shark tanks! SO FUN.

I loved our honeymoon. I want to live on an island. It reminds me of my Jimmy Buffet! LOVE HIM.

Since the wedding we have just been doing the whole married college experience. I am graduating in April 2011 in English Education (high school ed, not teaching foreigners!) And Anthony is at BYU doing Financial Management and getting ready for Med school. He takes the MCAT May 25! That will pretty much determine where we will live for the next 6 years! Hopefully he aces it and we stay in Utah going to the U... But Anywhere would be fun if it has a beach... That is my reasoning for moving.
This summer was way fun! We went to St. George a couple times and went boating and swimming a lot. We floated the Provo River for the first time in my life! And people... its not that bad. Except for the time I almost DIED. Now everyone only remeber one part... when I got sucked under the trees I came up for air and screamed "I suck at life..." Which I do not. I am pretty good a life.

Other than that it is now winter and we have been snowboarding and snowshoeing a lot! I love it. School it extremely frustrating right now with work and school. One or the other is not as bad, but both can be very overwhelming. OH- Anthony works with me at Park's Sportsman. He is in the Ski Shop and I am the Website Coordinator (whatever that means?).
