Two and a HALF!

I am so behind on blogging. The last one was an update on our Utah trip in JUNE!! But really, does anybody read this anymore? So here is her way overdue 2 1/2 year update. 

It's is just amazing how funny and grown up Amelia is acting lately. She is such the negotiator and I have to say that she wins more often than I like. 

-- When it is time to stop an activity (crafts, TV, bath...) you hold up your hand and say "5 minutes, Mom!"

-- Love helping dad fix things and build new furniture and helping mom cook dinner

-- You take a baby everywhere and play "Ring-Around-The-Rosies" with her

-- You infamously saved me from getting a ticket for rolling a stop sign. You sure charmed him with your smile and asking if you could hold him.

-- You count 1,2,3,Blastoff!! (blastoff is a number)

-- Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is your favorite movie.

--Started gymnastics

-- You love dressing up

-- You still love books over toys

-- You are starting to like coloring and tracing letters

-- You sleep 12 hours a night and take a 2 hour nap

-- Speaking full sentences

--  Slides and swings are your FAVORITE. Every night, Dad takes you to the park and you look forward to it every day.

-- You twirl your hair around your finger while your watch a movie or concentrate on something. You also stick your tongue out, just like Dad, when coloring or trying to be precise.

-- When we say "I Love You" you say "Oh Yes!" 

-- "Okay" is your new catchphrase

-- If I pretend to be sad, you sing "Hush Little Baby..."

-- Instead of saying "I love you" you say "I miss you"

-- Instead of saying Yes or No, you say "I think so" or "I don't think so."

-- When we play catch and we drop it you say, "Don't worry, you'll get better."

Utah Trip: Part 2

It was a very relaxing vacation (until Amelia decided not to sleep anymore...) where we just hungout with family. It's still not hitting us that this was probably our last, long vacation in a long time.

Sleeping with Anthony was the only way she would sleep for the last week of vacation. 

Swimming t the Provo Rec center. They have an awesome indoor and outdoor pool. Amelia wasn't quite as brave as I had hoped, but we still had fun. 

Ashley's wedding 

The past couple of months, Anthony and I have been training for the Utah Valley 10K. I pulled a muscle in my foot about a week before on a run in Utah, so Anthony had to run solo. Which was his plan anyways. From the beginning, He told me he wouldn't run at my pace... I'm too fast for him. Riiiiight. He finished in 50 minutes! I was running at 65 minutes before I got hurt, so obviously we weren't goig to run together at all.

My step sister, Taylor had a baby while we there! This is grand baby #2 on my side and Amelia LOVED holding baby Jake. 

June and July Happenings

In June, we were trying to get back to our routine. Mainly trying to find a grocery store without using a GPS.

Just across the street in the next neighborhood we have a great park that Amelia loves. She finally braved going down the big slide without me catching her. Big News.

We also have a neighborhood pool that was constantly freezing. I thought it would be like last year, where we were at the pool ERRRday. I feel like we totally got jipped this summer. I rarely go over 90 degrees. Normally, I would be okay with this, but I really wanted to go to the pool! The water was just too cold for 85 degree weather to be worth it. 

We did enjoy a few goo days at the pool, and Anthony was unselfish enough to go in the water everytime. We got her a puddle jumper, and she could swim across the entire pool in it! It was great and she just loved it. 

Illinois is COVERED in corn. We literally have a corn field in our back yard, so we enjoyed our share of the golden veggie. Below is amelia eating it raw.. it was that good apparently. 

Anthony's cousin lives just 30 minutes away, and Amelia has gotten quite attached to his daughter, Haylie.

The move was a little rough on her sleeping schedule. While in Utah, we left her with my mom for a few nights and she developed a fear that we were always going to leave. Anthony had to sleep with her for a month and then we had to sit in her room until she fell asleep for an other month. It was pretty bad at night, but for nap time I really didn't mind. She would sing herself to sleep with I Am A Child Of God and it melted my heart. 

We went to Six Flags with some friends we met. They have both have 2 year old boys and 4 year old girls. We have a lot of fun with them!
