5 months!

Hello... I have a 5 month old and feel lazy.
Shouldn't I be getting in shape by now?
Nope.
Still waiting on that gym pass to come.
Oh I have a jogging stroller?
Oh.. NY is like 100% humidity, which in my mind triples the temperature?
Check.

We didn't go to the doctor this month, so we don't have stats.
Maybe I should pretend you're sick just to get those stats.
I love them.
But I also love keeping my $25 copay.

I can't believe how much she has grown up this past month. I absolutely love it. She is sooo playful. As you can tell from the pictures, she is sitting up and would not lean back against the chair. She is such a happy girl. I just smile at her and she shows me her big gummy smile and my heart melts. We have had so much fun with her this month.

Some things about my 5 month old:
-- Started wearing bibs because you drool EVERWHERE. You will be soaking wet within 2 minutes of sitting up.
-- You have started screaming and singing. One in the same. You will gab for about 30 minutes straight.
-- You started standing on your legs with just me for balance. All the weight is on you.
-- You detest tummy time, but you have rolled over. Just once though... and I think it was because of the weight of you head. C'mon... do tummy time!
-- We put rice in your bottle thinking it would help you sleep. WRONG-O. It made your tummy ache.
-- You have started blowing spit bubbles.
-- You have started playing with toys! You love your tummy time toy that has toys hanging down from it... At least you like the tummy time toy even if you won't do tummy time, right?
-- In Sunday School, you had a full on 5 minute conversation with Isla, a baby your same age. It was sooo cute! You are such a talker, especially when you see other babies!
-- You are so happy in the mornings. You will just be playing in your bassinet and will wake me up with you laughing. So much better than crying! (Yes you are still in the bassinet.. I may have separation anxiety.)
-- Remember how you used to poop every 10 days... well I swear it is 5 times a day now! Geez!
-- You can sit up by yourself! No hands on the ground! You are getting so big!
-- You hated your carseat for about 4 weeks straight. Made life pretty difficult, but that has stopped and you have been amazing this last week.
-- You had the flu and it really messed up your sleeping schedule. Unfortunately, you wake up to eat 2-3 times a night now. Before, it was only once. DARN.
-- When giving you a bath, you won't lay down in the baby tub anymore. Must sit up. You are trying to be so independent.
-- In sacrament, Brother Lewis gave a talk and said in 30 years we might be going to an Amelia Brown and Theo wedding. Theo is a cute little 7 month old boy in our ward. So.. you are now betrothed. haha.
-- You are quite the talker. You are so loud and laughing all the time. It is so cute!

Labor Day Festivities

We had a much needed break from
the everyday "go-go-go" for Labor Day!
Anthony didn't have school and, well, I was free.

We went swimming at a local pool,
but it was freezing and they didn't allow baby floaties.
 L.A.M.E.

On Saturday we hit up Buttermilk Falls.
It was really neat. At the bottom of the falls there a place you
go swimming and it is so deep they have a diving board.
I loved it. I didn't know you could do that,
so we didn't take a swimsuit. DARN.

Yeah.. the waterfalls lacking a bit of...
water.
Hopefully next summer will be better.

Swimming Area
Diving board is left center.

Hiking seems to do this to her

After hiking we went to a ward BBQ and munched on hotdogs and hamburgers.
We are loving our ward so far...
(Primary 2nd counselor right here... again.. hmm..)

On Monday, we went to Watkin Glen State Park. This is where JIMMER is from.
You betcha.

There were way too many people there to actually enjoy the hike.
We will have to go again sometime.

This should be made into a waterfall blog...

There are 2,000 waterfalls just in Ithaca.
Bare with me.
