It's about Friggin time.

Well, it has been forever since an update.. and I am afraid this isn't going be much of one either. SOO busy. I am at work blogging, because it is my only time to do it!

Anyways.. I guess it is a shock that I am crafty. But guess what... I am. I made these for my stepmom's baby shower! And everyone looked shocked that I knew what a sewing machine was... I sew ALL THE TIME! It is how I calm down. And it is service because I have never made anything for myself... But I found this pattern from here. So cute. I don't have serger, but I am planning on getting one just for these ruffle bottoms. I adore them. I want every baby from 0-1 to own 50. They are tooo cute. I made a lot more, but i figured I didn't need to take a picture of all of them.

I also made these headbands out of nylons. Super easy. You can make like 30 in one hour.However... Get sizes 6mo or older. The newborn ones were so small to sew, but that was the only size i got...

And I have been making these flowers. I think they are soo cute, but I can't pull it off.

On an other note... Braxton got to go to school with me for 3 days. He loved it. NOT. he was so bored, but that is what you get when you are suspended. I think this experience convinced him that he wants to go to college though. In my first class we had a scavenger hunt around campus (NEVER HAPPENS). on the day that he comes we a

We went and saw Ha'ry Potta. I had read the book, so I knew when all the scary stuff was going to happen, so it wasn't too bad! I hate snakes! Sometimes I wish I were a Brit.. and then I see their teeth.

NEWSY: I spoke in sacrament last Sunday.. SCARY. It was for the Primary Program. No I am not in primary, but we only have 1 kid, so the presidency had to speak. It wasn't too bad, considering it was my 2nd talk ever (That I remember). My last talk was right after I graduated high school.

Also, I get my student teaching assignment next Friday! (The 3rd). I am super nervous. I cringe just thinking about it. I took my Praxis 2 test. This is the test that deals with English content knowledge to get my teaching license. I missed it by 3 points last time, which isn't too bad considering that 85% have to retake it. Most people in my class missed it by 30 points. I hope I passed this time. It is such a tricker. How am I supposed to have read every poem and book and then remember who the author was on top of that? And tHEN how am I supposed to know the intent the author had for each book? It is impossible. So hopefully I passed. There was so much poetry on it and I could narrow it down to 2 authors, but I had to guess. And it had a bunch of questions about the origins of the English language which i have never studied... So we'll see.

Anthony has started looking at medical schools. I am super excited. we have about 22 schools picked out, but will probably narrow it down to 15 by the time it comes around. We still have our eyes set on AZ.. I WANT A TAN. really.. that is my main selling point. Anthony has other motives for that school, but i think that mine are legit. we are also looking at: Colorado, south Carolina (LOVE IT), West Virginia, Nashville (love it) and California... It will be an adventure.

Some of My Funny Musings

So I haven't had time to blog lately... I know you are all so sad... Just kidding. Do people read this?! Just kidding again, I know you do.
We have been so busy. It is crazy... But I just have few funny comments to share. Here we go:

1. I have been learning a bunch of different scholarly points of view on the Bible in my Sacred Lit class (I am religion studies minor) and we were talking about Paul and the pressure he put on women in his time. And then Anthony and I were debating about women's roles in our world today and I called him a misogynist. He then proceeded to massage my shoulders... He had no clue what a misogynist was. It makes me feel smarter that I have a larger vocabulary than him because it isn't often that I get to feel that way around him. haha.

2. There is a girl in my methods classes that was house sitting for her brother because he has a cat that needed to be fed. These are her exact words: "I really liked the responsibility that came with taking care of Pumsy (the cat). It was nice to have somebody to depend on me so I think I am ready to have a baby." WHAT... umm, get a cat?

3. Remember THIS? Well, it happened again. I went to the doctor on Tuesday... got out of my car and my car started rolling... again. I tried to grab the door handle to pull it... yeah, me strong? No.... It was locked so I had to dig for my keys and hurry and unlock it and open the door and pull the E-brake. Nobody got hurt this time but there was witness... again.

4. I have a friend... who we will call T... well T said something hysterical the other day. "Whenever I see somebody with Obama on their car or shirt I automatically think they are uneducated and a ra-tard." I will not give you my opinion. I just want you to ponder this. HAHA.
