Salem with my Mom... Aka Grammy

My mom came and visited us! I was so happy! I had missed her so much!
We picked her up from Syracuse and made the 5 hour drive to Salem, Massachusetts.

We were told the "Grandma is too plain of a name" so she is now GRAMMY.

Ever since we decided to come to Cornell, I wanted to go to Salem for Halloween.
It was very cool. The town is decked out for 2 months.
People were always dressed up and handing out candy.

I got my cards read by mom's witch, Beverly.
(My mom has business trips in Salem often and gets her cards read.)
She said:
I am the Miranda Lambert of the relationship and Anthony is Blake Shelton
(I wear the pants. hehe.)
I will have at least one more girl and a boy. Whoa...
Amelia and I have been boys more often than girls in past lives.
I used to be an Aztec boy.
I have a lot of grandmothers in heaven watching over me.
Amelia's element is wind. (even though she almost suffocates in the wind.. whatever.)
Anthony has a lot of weight on his shoulders.

The game Clue was based on this house.
The rooms are very similar.

Had to visit Rita's Italian Ice

This whole store was like this. and the owner could point you to the book you were looking for.
And he got mad I took this picture. I don't know why.

Fall Break

Cornell has a longer fall break than BYU. Meaning they actually have one. Our friends from good Ol' Canada came to visit us. Brittany and Kyle. They only live about 5 hours away from us... sadly, they are moving to Nevada on Saturday. Maybe they secretly need to be an entire country's distance away from us.

While they were here, we just hungout. It was was Conference weekend, which is always nice to have a weekend where it is acceptable to just sit, eat junkfood, play games, and RELAX.

Before the Regimball's arrived, we went to a cidar press here in Ithaca. You can watch them press apples and then taste the cider. Unfortunately, the Health Inspector was there and they were delayed. So we bought a $10 apple pie, took it home and ate 2 slices.. Whatevo.

My computer won't let me turn my pics... you have to deal.

We missed the apple donuts.. there is always next year

We went to Lucifer Falls with Brit and Kyle.

Ithaca has an Apple Fest every year at the Commons.
Apple EVERYTHING.
We were really hoping to get an Apple Donut, but they were sold out!

Apple, Caramel, Nuts, Whip Cream. SOOO GOOD!

5 months!

Hello... I have a 5 month old and feel lazy.
Shouldn't I be getting in shape by now?
Nope.
Still waiting on that gym pass to come.
Oh I have a jogging stroller?
Oh.. NY is like 100% humidity, which in my mind triples the temperature?
Check.

We didn't go to the doctor this month, so we don't have stats.
Maybe I should pretend you're sick just to get those stats.
I love them.
But I also love keeping my $25 copay.

I can't believe how much she has grown up this past month. I absolutely love it. She is sooo playful. As you can tell from the pictures, she is sitting up and would not lean back against the chair. She is such a happy girl. I just smile at her and she shows me her big gummy smile and my heart melts. We have had so much fun with her this month.

Some things about my 5 month old:
-- Started wearing bibs because you drool EVERWHERE. You will be soaking wet within 2 minutes of sitting up.
-- You have started screaming and singing. One in the same. You will gab for about 30 minutes straight.
-- You started standing on your legs with just me for balance. All the weight is on you.
-- You detest tummy time, but you have rolled over. Just once though... and I think it was because of the weight of you head. C'mon... do tummy time!
-- We put rice in your bottle thinking it would help you sleep. WRONG-O. It made your tummy ache.
-- You have started blowing spit bubbles.
-- You have started playing with toys! You love your tummy time toy that has toys hanging down from it... At least you like the tummy time toy even if you won't do tummy time, right?
-- In Sunday School, you had a full on 5 minute conversation with Isla, a baby your same age. It was sooo cute! You are such a talker, especially when you see other babies!
-- You are so happy in the mornings. You will just be playing in your bassinet and will wake me up with you laughing. So much better than crying! (Yes you are still in the bassinet.. I may have separation anxiety.)
-- Remember how you used to poop every 10 days... well I swear it is 5 times a day now! Geez!
-- You can sit up by yourself! No hands on the ground! You are getting so big!
-- You hated your carseat for about 4 weeks straight. Made life pretty difficult, but that has stopped and you have been amazing this last week.
-- You had the flu and it really messed up your sleeping schedule. Unfortunately, you wake up to eat 2-3 times a night now. Before, it was only once. DARN.
-- When giving you a bath, you won't lay down in the baby tub anymore. Must sit up. You are trying to be so independent.
-- In sacrament, Brother Lewis gave a talk and said in 30 years we might be going to an Amelia Brown and Theo wedding. Theo is a cute little 7 month old boy in our ward. So.. you are now betrothed. haha.
-- You are quite the talker. You are so loud and laughing all the time. It is so cute!
